Keep Your Brain Healthy and Lose Weight

Two Summer Moves That Keep Your Brain Healthy and Lose Weight.
Take a break and go to the farmers market. You will get some fresh air and take a nice walk and burn up some calories, get that blood racing. Pick up fresh peas, spinach, asparagus, artichokes and raspberries. These foods lowers levels of a compound in your blood called homocysteine because they have folate. Also known as folic acid or B9.
Keep Your Brain Healthy and Lose Weight By Eating Your Veggies
Pick up as many of these semi-super foods as you can, because the average Baby Boomers diet falls far short of the 400 to 700 micrograms of folate that you should get in a day. And the polyphenols in colored fruits and veggies also are key in stimulating you to produce your own antioxidants.
Keep Your Brain Healthy and Lose Weight By Not Eating Fried Fish
Eat fish and in doing so, you will be eating omega-3-rich fish. The fish that have the highest count is salmon or trout. Eating fish is an easy way to reduce your risk of stroke. But, do not put your catch of the day in the fryer or frying skillet.
Eating fried fish actually clogs arteries that lead to your brain, putting you at increased risk of stroke. So, don’t forget that the good fat in fish…can’t out weigh the bad fat if it’s fried.
Go somewhere where you can get fish broiled or grilled. Or better yet, spend a health raising, stress free day catching the fish yourself!
