Pamela Laverne Long Wiggins Released On $10,000 Bond

Pamela Laverne Long Wiggins Released On $10,000 Bond according to the authorities. Police detained Pamela Long Wiggins, on Wednesday, July 15th, 2009, but she has been released on a $10,000 bond, according to Deputy Christopher Welborn of the Escambia County Sheriff’s office.
Meanwhile, authorities have located valuable evidence, including a stolen safe and several guns, in the slaying of a Florida couple, Byrd and Melanie Billings, who had adopted 13 children. The couple were shot to death July 9th, 2009, in their Beulah, Florida, home with nine of their children present.
Bill Eddins stated that the safe had been taken from the Billings’ home and several guns, including one they believe was used to kill Byrd and Melanie Billings, have been found.
Investigators have already charged eight people in the case and are still looking for one more.
One sheriff compared the investigation’s complexity and the number of people involved to the infamous 1969 killings in California for which Charles Manson and others were convicted.
I do not believe this to be true. The Charles Manson Murders were heinous. This was a robbery gone bad or a robbery where they would leave no witnesses.

Seven men, one of them a 16 year old, are charged with murder, and one woman (Pamela Laverne Long Wiggins), faces accessory to felony murder charges.
Wiggins rented property to the alleged ringleader, Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Jr., and was the suspects family friend.
Authorities are still looking into what they call a “gaping hole” in what was otherwise a well executed crime, except that the security system was not disabled. Authorities believe the suspects did not believe they were under surveillance.
Authorities are still seeking a person who was involved in the security and video surveillance system at the Billings’ compound.
Gonzalez Jr., 35, a former National Guard member, appeared in court Wednesday, July 15th, 2009, and read a statement proclaiming his innocence. “The state’s entire case is based on hearsay and circumstantial evidence,” he stated.
His father, Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Sr., 56, also appeared in court Wednesday, July 15th, 2009. He is being held without bail, as are Gary Lamont Sumner, 30, and Fredrick Lee Thornton, 19, and they are to appear in court again in August 2009.
Wayne Thomas Coldiron, 41; Donald Ray Stallworth, 28; and an unidentified 16-year-old are also charged in the case.
