Jasmin Ouschan Wins Great Lakes Classic 9-Ball. She is an Austrian professional pool player from Klagenfurt, Austria.
In Michigan City, Jasmin Ouschan raised her pool cue and smiled broadly after beating Kelly Fisher in the Great Lakes Classic 9-ball tourney final on Sunday, July 12th, 2009.
Even with jet-lag, flying in straight from competing two weeks in the Philippines and a week in Shanghai, Jasmin Ouschan came in and moped the tables with all that she played.
Her next event is the World Games will be on July 22nd-26th, 2209, in Taiwan, where she won the 2005 Games title.
In 2006, Jasmin Ouschan won the 2006 BCA Open Nine Ball Championship, in the women’s division, defeating the UK’s Allison Fisher. She also finished 3rd in the women’s World Pool Championship.
She has competed in what have traditionally been regarded as men’s tournaments, finishing 5th in the men’s World Straight Pool Championship in 2006, which was won by Thorsten Hohmann from Germany. She competed again in 2007 but lost to Warren Kiamco in the last 16, finishing 17th.
