Bleeding Billboard
Bleeding Billboard. Disturbing, yet quite effective according to New Zealand. A “bleeding billboard” in New Zealand portrays a child’s face and get this Baby Boomers, when it gets wet, it “bleeds.”
Watch the Video on the left to get an idea of how it works. When the billboard gets wet, like from a rain, a red fluid streams down the child’s face, to make its point…SLOW DOWN.
The goal is to get drivers to slow down when it rains, because the wetter the weather, the worse the accidents. There were 15 fatal accidents on this particularly slippery part of the highway before the Bleeding Billboard went up.
But during the Easter weekend (after the Bleeding Billboard was erected) there were zero accidents. Who doesn’t prefer fake blood on a billboard to real blood on asphalt.
I saw, put them up here in the states and make then for when it snows, rains and then after turn them on when the bars close to remind drunk drivers to slow down or take a cab.

This can all be clear tuned in mid July.
If that was not explained to me I wouldn’t have understood what they were trying to tell me it would be very frightening to me but now I understand what they are trying to say it makes sense as long as it works I am all for it.
As that cop said they are not accidents because the people know that it is very dangerous to drive badly when it is raining but they do it anyway.
I wish that the United States would do the same thing and maybe there would be a lot of lives saved every year but they probably have to pass a law or something or have to get a group of people together to go before Congress before that could happen meanwhile more lives will be lost.
I THINK THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!!
