Baby Boomers Lose Two Icons-Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett

Baby Boomers Lose Two Icons-Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett all on one very sad day.
The deaths of Michael Jackson, age 50 and Farrah Fawcett, age 62 came as a jolt to Baby Boomers, world wide. I know it was to me.
June 26th, 2009 was a sad day. A day when you lose to people you grew up with. A day that makes you realize that tomorrow is not promised to you.
I was saddened by the death of Michael Jackson. To me, he was so young and he led such a lonely life, so isolated life at the end. The saddest part is that there wasn’t anyone close enough to him, who could help him make better decisions about his life.
I think that most Baby Boomers would like to be rich and famous and you can throw The Baby Boomer Queen in that figure as well.
It’s a shame that a Baby Boomer with such talent, who delighted audiences with his music and dancing, and who made so much money, had such a bizarre lifestyle, was in $400 million in debt…had such a distorted perception about what his persona should be. We would admired him and his talent, no matter what he looked like.
With Michaels’ death being in the news, taking over the Internet…it is a shame that Farrah Fawcetts’ death got pushed to the back of the line.
Remember…Baby Boomers, “life is short, eat desert first!”
Baby Boomers Lose Two Icons-Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. Farrah Fawcett was another Baby Boomer icon that we lost. She will always be remembered as one of the private investigators on “Charlie’s Angles.” With her gorgeous layered blond hair and big as Texas, American smile.
She was, as with Michael, was a trendsetter for Baby Boomer women and men world wide. You saw red leather jackets every where and all women wanted the Farrah hair cut. Those where just the tip of the iceberg.
Fawcett left “Charlies Angles” after one year, looking for more challenging roles. “The Burning Bed” was her opportunity to prove that she wasn’t just another beautiful blonde or as TV calls the Jiggle Babes.
A leader in the effort to bring attention to the plight of women with anal cancer, which is considered a sexual cancer, Fawcett made a documentary about her illness. She showed us her illness and the hardships that came with it. The whole world looked on as she died a very hard death. She was very brave and that is how I will remember her.
Nationwide, cases of anal cancer in women have jumped 78 percent in the past 30 years, and 160 percent in men. These are huge figures and are a big health concern for Baby Boomers.
Sometimes, the world just goes too fast for me and I want to jump off and get a better perspective. Friday, June 26th, was one of those days when Baby Boomers Lose Two Icons-Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. Lost but not forgotten. BBAC sends our thought and condolences to their families, friends and fans.

MAY THEY BOTH REST IN PEACE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS NOW AND FOR ALL TIME AS I AM SURE THEY WILL!!!
