“According to the preliminary reports there was a leak in the line that goes to a machine that freezes the chicken,” Robeson County Manager Ken Windley stated. The victim apparently died from severe burns, he added.

The company issued a statement expressing its “sincere concern and condolences for the victims and their families of this tragedy.” It offered no details on the incident.
