Rusty DePass-GOP Activist’s Facebook Says: Escaped Gorilla An Ancestor of Michelle Obama…good old boy Rusty DePass, a South Carolina GOP state activist has apologized for calling a gorilla an “ancestor” of first lady Michelle Obama. My humble opinion…too little too late.

People who think and utter offensive racist comments, like Rusty DePass don’t belong in polite society and yet he is a longtime, South Carolina Republican activist and a former George Bush supporter, who now works for the top, law enforcement official in the state. His racism has apparently served him well in South Carolina’s GOP establishment.

But that was yesterday…there is a new sheriff in town.

At the Columbia, South Carolina Riverbanks Zoo, Friday, 12th, 2009, a male lowland gorilla scaled a wall escaping from his enclosure. He furiously pounded his chest and tackled a pizza vendor, who suffered minor injuries, before returning to his enclosure five minutes later on his own. Perhaps the gorilla wanted delivery…
