According to Denzel Washington, John Travolta Still Struggles Over Loss Of Son-Jett Travolta last January. Too distraught to help promote the movie he shot with Denzel Washington last summer, Washington stated Friday.
In the movie, John Travolta stars as a bad guy, an ex-inmate who takes hostages on a New York subway in “The Taking of Pelham 123.”
A lot of the movie is made between Washington and Travolta’s characters…over a two-way radio.
Denzel Washington, who plays a subway train dispatcher forced to face down Travolta’s character.
Travolta and Washington’s new movie, “The Taking of Pelham 123,” will hit the theaters June 12th, 2009.
Making the movie was “a labor of love,” Travolta stated.
“Tony gave me the freedom to define, and then to become, the ultimate evil mastermind,” he said. “This role as an actor gave me the chance to dispense with all moral and ethical limitations, and explore just how bad this character could really be. I believe you will like the result.”
Those of you in New York might like the fact that most the film was made in the tunnels of the NY subway.
As a reminder, his son Jett Travolta, 16, was found unconscious on January 2nd, 2009, while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas’ West End. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, local police said.
“Needless to say, he’s struggling,” Washington said.
Denzel recently talked to Travolta about two weeks ago and verified the fact that John is still having a hard time coming to grips that his son is gone.
“More than talking to him, I listened to him for more than two or three hours,” he said. “It’s going to take time. What can you say? Really, you just be there as a friend.”
“One moment he’s OK and the next he’s in tears. He’s such a sweet person.” Denzel stated.
John Travolta is married to actress Kelly Preston and they have a daughter Ella Bleu Travolta
There isn’t any time limit when you lose a loved one and it is especially hard when it is a child, that you lose.
Jett’s birthday was not long ago and I am sure that it was a sad day for John Travolta and the rest of the family. I know for a fact that he went off to think by his self.

I just have one question.
Why did it take so long to discover him?
That still smell fishy to me and until that question is answered to my satisfaction I think that something was very wrong.
MAY GOD BLESS THIS WONDERFUL CHILD NOW AND FOR ALL TIME AS I AM SURE HE IS BECAUSE HE IS ON HIS RIGHT HAND WHERE HE SAFE AND WARM AND FREE OF ANY HARM!!!
