This is one of the worst treadmill incidents that I’ve ever heard of
I am sure that it is…makes you wonder how you could sell parts for such harmful machines…machines that can kill a child? Well, I guess we all have to make a living, don’t we?

This is a tragic accident that should have never happened. Almost all treadmills are equipped with a key that can be removed so no one, including children, can accidently start the machine.
I was once at a YMCA in Chicago and an elderly woman got on a treadmill. Not knowing what she was doing she hit one of the higher speed buttons. The treadmill began to run away and she screamed. The person next to her reached over and pulled out the key, which immediately stopped it.
Parents, never, ever leave the treadmill key in the machine. A treadmill can be a “harmful” machine. But it can also be the best fitness equipment for losing weight and getting back into shape. Of course, for many, it ends up being an expensive clothes hanger.
