New Delhi Man Has Third Kidney Transplant-Or Five Kidneys and hopefully the third time around will be the charm and lucky for Jaswant of Jalandhar, India, who recently underwent another his third kidney transplant surgery after the first two failed.
Counting his original two kidneys, the 33-year-old photographer has had five kidneys since his surgery 40 days ago. He is determined to “make it this time,” according to the Times of India, from Jalandhar, in northern Punjab state.
New Delhi Man Has Third Kidney Transplant-Or Five Kidneys and Jaswant is fourth patient in India to successfully undergo three renal transplants. Fortunately, finding kidney donors within Jaswant’s family has not been a problem for him.
It was his older sister who donated the organ for his first transplant in 2004. The donated organ held for about a year before his body rejected it as Jaswant was not able to afford the post surgery treatment.
The second time his younger sister donated her kidney, but that donation too didn’t take and after two years, Jaswant had to go back on dialysis.
The third time his 55-year-old mother donated her kidney.
“Determined to see me live, the family just wouldn’t give up and prepared for another surgery,” Jaswant stated.

There is an old saying the Third Time is the Charm!!!
I need advice from the specialists. I heard third time transplant is very risky.
My mum took first transplant in 1997, second transplant in 2002.
Now, her creatinine level gone up to 4, and need to transplant again.
This story makes our mind up.

Never give up. A positive mind does more than a bottle of Advil.
They told me in 1983 that I was in renal failure and that I needed to go on a kidney machine. I still have not gone on that damn machine and have been told recently that I am in renal failure once again.
