4 Year Old Abducted Texas Tot-Lesley Perez Found Alive In Mercedes Texas, confirms Hidalgo police Chief Vernon Rosser. Lesley Estefania Perez has been found at a rural area in Mercedes, Texas late Wednesday night.

Lesley Perez went missing from her front yard in Hidalgo, Texas on Tuesday night. The abduction occurred about 9 p.m. Tuesday along Rivera Drive in the Sanchez Ranch colonia just south of Military Highway in Hidalgo.

Lesley was in her front yard playing with other children and her 12 year old sister, Brianda, when a white pick up stopped and a young man ran out grabbed little 4 year old Lesley. Her 12 year old sister fought the abductor, even as he beat her in the face.

Police arrested a male suspect believed to have kidnapped Lesley Estefania Perez. Authorities were first unable to identify the man. Now, they know he is a 23 year old carnival worker, from California, Christan McMillian, who has a past history as a sexual predator.

Lesleys’ sister, Brianda, helped detectives create a composite sketch of the suspect, who was found minutes after the drawing was displayed by a local TV news station.

Lesley was rushed to the hospital for a routine check, but it was not immediately apparent that the child had been injured by her abductor.

HOW THE ABDUCTION HAPPENED

It was about 9pm. Children where playing baseball in a neighborhood vacant lot. A white pickup truck circled through the neighborhood five times before it screeched to a halt. Then an unknown man stepped into the dusty, windswept lot and went after little Lesley, who was playing in the field directly across from her family’s house.

But with one swift blow to the older girl’s head, the kidnapper snatched little Lesley from her grip.

Local, state and federal law enforcement launched a statewide manhunt before dawn Wednesday to find Lesley’s kidnapper – a man whose description changed several times as the day wore on.

But Wednesday, little Leslie were found. This time, it was a happy ending. Thanks to the fast thinking of a twelve year old, dedicated authorities and a reactive community that saved little Lesley Perez.
