Drew Peterson Jokes With Media and Chews Gum In Court just like he wasn’t under arrest for murdering his third wife Kathleen Savio. Drew Peterson, was arrested earlier this week.
This pic shows how Drew Peterson, 55, and former police officer flashed a big camera smile engaged in banter and jokes with the media about his jail jumpsuit and handcuffs. In court he chewed gum throughout his first court appearance Friday.
Judge Richard Schoenstedt delayed Drew Peterson’s arraignment until May 18th, 2009, because his lawyer, Joel Brodsky couldn’t attend Friday’s hearing.
When asked how he was, he replied, “three squares a day and a spiffy outfit.” He then held up the chains and said, “and I got the bling. Can’t complain.”
I couldn’t decide if I wanted to write this article…but then I decided I had to write about Drew Peterson…for Kathleen Savio, Stacy Peterson and for all of the other abused and murdered wives.
Peterson is also the prime suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson. But right now, he is indicted on murder charges related to the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.
Peterson, chewing gum throughout the proceedings, yet speaking in a clear voice, told Judge Schoenstedt that he knew both of his lawyers were out of town and that he had no objection to the delay.
Glasgow, who stated that he will prosecute the case personally, said Brodsky told him that he expects to ask the judge for a reduction in Peterson’s $20 million bail during the May 18 arraignment.
