Alleged Craigslist Killer-Phillip Markoff Faces Charges In Rhode Island. Markoff who is a medical student accused of killing a masseuse in a Boston, Massachusetts, hotel room, will be charged in a hotel assault in Rhode Island, the state attorney general stated Monday, May 4th, 2009.
The accused “Craigslist killer” Phillip Markoff is facing additional charges in Rhode Island.
Authorities say the attacker in both cases apparently responded to the victims’ listings on the Craigslist online classified ad site. Craigslist now has an ad asking anyone who was also attacked or robbed to please come forward.
“Philip Markoff, 23, a second year medical student who has a huge gambling problem, will be charged with assault with the intent to rob, assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a handgun and use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence,” stated Rhode Island Attorney General Patrick Lynch.
These charges stem from an April 16, 2009, robbery attempt at a Holiday Inn Express in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Markoff was previously charged with killing Julissa Brisman on April 14 at a Boston hotel. Authorities stated that Ms. Brisman, a New York resident, was a model who advertised as a masseuse on Craigslist. Ms. Brisman was shot three times at close range and suffered blunt head trauma.
Markoff also has been charged in connection with an April 10 robbery of a woman at another hotel in Boston. She was robbed of $800 in cash and $250 in American Express gift cards, according to authorities. This incident was also is linked to a Craigslist ad.
Markoff has pleaded not guilty in the April 14 and April 10 incidents and is being held without bail.
Rhode Island Attorney General Patrick Lynch called the Rhode Island case a “very stark, difficult, horrific reminder that there are predators out there; there are bad people out there,” and called for new Internet safety measures.
Here comes the part I find hard to explain…Markoff’s fiancee has postponed the wedding but is believes that he is innocent and is standing by her man.

This man started this type of behavior when he was very young with innocent animals and just worked his way up to innocent women who was just trying to make a living. Not the kind of living that most women would have but it was their living and everyone has a right to make a living and that is a fact.
You can see he has no connetion to what he did NONE and that is a fact.
He is like a rabbit animal and what do we do to rabbit animals we get rid of them and that is what should happen to him.
But it won’t we will find something title to put on him and we need to watch him and use him as an example so he will spend to rest of his life in prison and that more than likely will happen.
