UPDATE-Canada Confirms Four Swine Flu Cases In Nova Scotia Area and the Swine Flu continues to spread across the continent.
According to the health officials in Canada, they have confirmed their first cases of swine flu on Sunday, April, 26th, 2009. Four people are said to have the virus in the eastern province of Nova Scotia.
Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s chief public health officer, stated that the cases were among students who had recently traveled to Mexico.
Dr. Strang reported that the people affected were only “mildly ill,” and all are recovering. He continued with telling Canadians that have recently traveled in Mexico…they should call their doctor and stay home if they suffer flu-like symptoms.
AMERICAN UPDATE
In the mean-time…America has now reported 20 cases of swine flu.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano stated at the White House, “The declaration is part of a “standard operating procedure” that will free up additional government resources to combat the virus.”
Additional cases of swine flu are expected to be reported in the coming days, added Dr. Richard Besser, the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
World Update
The declaration came as the World Health Organization (WHO) advised all countries to be on the lookout for “unusual” outbreaks of flu. This was after an emergency meeting Saturday, April 25th, 2009, as the seriousness of the outbreak became clear.

I am not surprised that it is spreading because Mexicans are everywhere no matter where you go there they are legally or illegal and that is a fact.
I am surprised that they haven’t mentiioned Nebraska yet because there are so many of them there but maybe they don’t travel back to Mexico but that will come you watch.
