The Tonight Show Cancelled After Jay Leno Hospitalized Fell Ill. Jay Leno gets ill right before his 59th birthday on Tuesday, April 28th, 2009. According to his representative, TV talk show host Jay Leno fell ill and checked himself into a Los Angeles, California, hospital on Thursday, April 23, 2009.
NBC canceled the tapings of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Thursday and Friday after Leno became il and was hospitalized.
Tracy St. Pierre did not disclose the nature of Leno’s illness. But, BBAC wishes him well and a speedy recovery.
CNN’s Anderson Cooper, anchor of “Anderson Cooper 360,” was scheduled to appear on Friday’s show. The network did not announce which show would be broadcast on Friday.
