What more can this cop do but say he was sorry for what he did what more do expect out him.
Everyone has forgotten he broke the law and that is what this cop was doing his job and I do realize that he went over the top but he was doing the job he was hired for and that was to give him a ticket.
Maybe being so young as he was he was trained in a way that you have to give tickets no matter the reason for the infraction because everyone has a reason for braking the law but it doesn’t matter according to most police and that is a fact.
I feel badly for what happened but it is NFL Player but he was doing his job and that is a fact.
I disagree with you Carol…this officer did not use his own G_d given common sense.
He tried stopped Ryan Moats just a few block from the hospital. In an emergency you are supposed to have your flashers on and Ryan did.
The Moats family knew they had to get to the hospital before the Mother dies and they barely made it. The Mother died while he was in the parking lot, trying to tell the officer his Mother-in-law was dying in the hospital and showing his insurance and drivers licence.
Tell me Carol, would you not have wanted a police escort if the same thing was happening to your family?
Did Ryan act badly when he was stopped? Did he use his name or NFL position as a prop to get where he wanted to be? No, he did not.
There was no need to treat the Moats in the manner that they were treated. Even the young child was treated badly. The officer was not listening and why do you think that was? Could there perhaps be a black/white issue? I think the odds are pretty good.
This is just my take on the situation. I did live in this area for about 9 years.
None the less, Carol, thank you for being such a loyal reader to BBAC.
Southern smiles and world peace,
