An Angel In Queens Serves The Hungry

An Angel In Queens Serves The Hungry every day as unemployed men gather under the elevated 7 train in Jackson Heights, Queens. Many of them are homeless and all of them are hungry.
Jorge Munoz, the Angel in Queens estimates he has served more than 70,000 free meals since 2004.
Like clock work, around 9:30 each night, relief comes in the form of Jorge Munoz’s white pickup truck, filled with hot food, coffee and hot chocolate.
Mostly hungry men eagerly accept containers of chicken and rice from Jorge Munoz, devouring the food on the spot. Quiet gratitude radiates from the crowd, as for many this is the only hot meal of the day…if not their only meal.
Lately, it has been hard to find people who are not stealing from others, but this is not the case with Jorge Munoz and his family who are called the Angel in Queens.
