Natasha Richardson 45 Has Died From Her Ski Injury says a spokesman for the family of Natasha.

Richardson, a gifted and precocious heiress to acting royalty whose career highlights included the film “Patty Hearst” and a Tony-winning performance in a stage revival of “Cabaret,” died after suffering an apparent head injury from a skiing accident on a beginners slope at a Quebec resort, Mont Tremblant Ski Resort, about 80 miles northwest of Montreal. She was only 45.

Richardson was the wife of actor Liam Neeson and they have two sons, Michael and Daniel. Richardson was also married to Robert Fox from 1990 to 1994.

“She did not show any visible sign of injury, but the ski patrol followed strict procedures and brought her back to the bottom of the slope and insisted she should see a doctor,” in a statement from the resort.

Richardson was then accompanied by her instructor, returned to her hotel, but about an hour after the fall was “not feeling good.” An ambulance was called, and Richardson was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to Hopital du Sacre-Coeur in Montreal and finally, she was transferred to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Richardson comes from acting royalty, her grandfather, Sir Michael Redgrave, was a famed British actor. Her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, is an Oscar-winning actress, and her father, the late director Tony Richardson, helmed such films as “Look Back in Anger,” “The Entertainer” and the Oscar-winning “Tom Jones.” Also noted from her family are Corin Redgrave, Lynn Redgrave, and sister Joely Richardson.
