Baby Boomers-Improve Your Memory With Adult Breakfast Drinks

Baby Boomers-Improve Your Memory With Adult Breakfast Drinks by adding alcohol. Just a shot of this or that will improve your memory and give you a jump start on the day.
What you drink with your breakfast doesn’t only wake you, supercharge you or fill you up. Here’s what else these favorite breakfast beverages do:
Coffee
Coffee can cut the risk of ovarian cancer (should you be of the fairer gender), liver cancer and diabetes, at least for people who drink four 8-ounce cups a day. Coffee, with skim milk or black, also reduces your risk of premature death, likely because of plant compounds that help fend off Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, and, of course, it helps power you through a long morning of boring meetings. Personally, I am a tea drinker and I probably drink my tea stronger than most drink their coffee and hold the moo juice, please.
Add a shot of Irish whiskey or Irish Cream to your coffee and your memory will improve and can improve a hangover.
Apple Juice
Apple juice maintains the level of an all-important brain chemical, acetylcholine, which helps keep memory and learning skills sharper. Most scientists believe memories are likewise improved by unsweetened apple juice. Add a shot of champagne and double the whammy.
Orange Juice
Orange juice relieves joint inflammation. Although its vitamin C is an anti-inflammatory, don’t forget that oranges also have beta-cryptoxanthin. People whose diets were high in this polyphenol were much less likely to develop joint inflammation than those who got less of the nutrient. Use your morning juice to chase down 300 mg of DHA (the anti-inflammatory omega-3), and you’ll not only help your joints and arteries, but you may just might see an increase eyesight and memory so that you can read and remember more
Add a shot of champagne and you double the memory power. Serve in a flute and you will feel like royalty.
V-8 Juice
Some say the Bloody Mary was conceived in Paris, in the Roaring 20′s, while others trace it back to a guy in the 30′s just looking to clear his head after a particularly bad hangover. Either way, it’s agreed that the drink began as plain tomato juice and vodka; since then, the spices have been added, and many variations have been concocted. For me, it is V-8 juice.
Try a few interesting versions, such as the Bloody Geisha-in which sake replaces the vodka, the Bloody Pirate-rum replaces vodka, the “Screw Mary”-contains equal parts vodka, orange juice, and tomato juice, and the Bloody Maureen-which mixes Guinness and tomato juice.
Baby Boomers, you don’t have to be a full-fledged alcoholic, or even a burgeoning one, to appreciate an adult beverage in the morning. Whether you take your morning coffee with a splash of whiskey, or like to swig orange juice with a little champagne, it’s easy to infuse the morning with some extra bounce to your step.
The nice thing about these drinks is that you’re free to experiment, which is not to say you should make pre-lunch drinking a routine, but some Sunday mornings, an adult coffee over brunch with friends is just what you need to refresh your memory…or wipe it clean…after Saturday night.
