Missing Haleigh Cummings Dad-Weds Teenage Girlfriend

Missing Haleigh Cummings Dad-Weds Teenage Girlfriend despite the fact that his daughter is still missing.
Ronald Cummings, the father of missing child Haleigh Cummings’ married his 17 year old girlfriend, who was the last one known to have seen the child alive.
Both Cummings and Croslin passed their polygraph test.
Little Haleigh Ann-Marie Cummings, 5, has been missing for more than a month.
Here’s the story…last Sunday Ronald Cummings asked his teenage girlfriend, Misty Croslin, for her hand in marriage at a local Chili’s restaurant. With several family members, Cummings got down on one knee, asked Croslin to marry him and gave her Haleigh’s grandmother’s diamond ring.
Misty is only 17 years old and in the state of Florida, both parents have to give consent so the two could be married.
Thursday, March 12th, 2008, the pair got married, after the three day waiting period required by Florida law.
Croslin, who was totally excited earlier in the week after the engagement, WJXT-TV that while she knows there will be critics of the marriage and the timing, “everything is still about Haleigh and she wanted to be together as a family, just as Haleigh would have wanted. Everybody is probably going to take this marriage thing the wrong way. This is what Haleigh wanted. She has always talked about it, and even if she’s not with us, she is still with us.”
Well, I don’t know about you, Baby Boomers…but if my child was missing for over a month, marriage would be the very last thing on my mind. Plus, saying it is what little Haleigh would want, just doesn’t cut it in my book.
Misty told police she tucked Haleigh and her 4 year old brother into bed about 8 p.m. February 9 in their Satsuma, Florida, home. She said she went to sleep herself about 10 p.m. but woke at 3 a.m. to find Haleigh missing and a back door propped open by bricks.

Police are still actively searching for the girl, with a new search happening this week, and investigators Wednesday took the back door that was found propped open.
In the middle of the search for the girl, the newlyweds will fly to New York Thursday night for their honeymoon and an exclusive appearance on the Today show.
Haleigh’s grandmother, Teresa Neves, also acknowledged the timing might seem “unusual.”
“Well, it is unusual for some onlookers, but those people didn’t live with my two grandchildren,” Neves told Nancy Grace. “My grandchildren, both Haleigh and Junior, have very often said that they would love for their daddy to marry Misty and that they wanted Misty to be their mommy. And so I feel like they are just trying to fulfill a wish for Haleigh so that when she comes home she will have that extra happiness to come home to.”
“It’s an event that Haleigh really should be at, but when she comes home, we’ll have a great big wedding so she can be the flower girl and see it all again,” the grandmother said.
According the the biological mother of Haleigh, there is more going on then meets the eye in the Cumming household…whispers of child abuse with the father. Is a custody case in the winds?
It is a fact that a 17 year old can not keep watch over children when one child has already disappeared. For those of you who think that is not the case, the evidence is perfectly clear that children do not need to be taking care of children.
What is the rush to marry? Trying to clear a 17 year olds reputation? Well. that is a little too late since she was already living with Ronald Cummings before the fact. Could it be something more sinister? Could it be that a husband and wife do not have to testify against each other?
The main question is…Where is little Haleigh?
In the mean while, Ronald and the new Misty Cummings are being flown around for television interviews and going on honeymoons…while the rest of the world looks watches and searches for Haleigh Cummings.

This whole case makes me ill now he marries this just means to me that little girl was in his way for happiness and now that she is gone he is happy.
How dare this man keep his little boy when he gets in his way maybe he will disappear just like his daughter did?
I don’t trust either the father or now his new wife at all and they have to take away the boy for his safety but do not give him to his natural mother not yet until she proves that she didn’t have something with the little girl disappearing.
I beleive Haliegh was killed before Ronald left to go to work that night and both tried to blame it on an intruder. If he knocked her down and backhanded her once, he didn’t love her and maybe wanted to be rid of her. No one should do that to a child or anyone else. His language the night he reported her sickened me. He didn’t sound concerned, it was like a show. Poor precious thing had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. I’ve heard most trailers near water have rats. However, they both bought cigarettes which are expensive. It was sickening to watch them enjoy the smoking while the beautifu child was missing.
She also had an illness that maybe they couldn’t handle. I hope I am wrong and she will be found alive but I don’t think that to be the outcome.
I pray Ronald and Misty will NOT keep custody of Junior. If he mistreatd Haleigh he will do the same with Junior if he does something he doesn’t like. All children act up at times but you don’t backhnd them. You talk to them nd let them know you love them.
What parent makes their child sleep on the floor? It doesn’t have to be fancy, just off the floor…
I just can not understand how someone could get married when their child is missing. If it were me, the earth would stand still till they returned.
Well, who am I to throw the first stone…we can’t live on I would have’s…

Do not judge what you do not know. The family appears to be very simple and the family didn’t appear to be upset by Ron and Misty getting married. It appeared to be a very simple exchange of vows. The important issue in all of this regardless of the wedding is Haleigh. Haleigh needs to come home.
first just wanted 2 say a 17 year old can & does take care of kids ppl have 2 think abt this be 4 they say that a 17 yr old can’t come on ask any HHS worker and they will tell u they can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there’s even younger girls that babysit . also so what if they got married big deal that doesn’t mean they don’t want their little grl 2 come home.i still say noone should say nothin’ bad abt Ron & Misty unless u walk a mile in their shoes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!also maybe they did live a different life then some so what that doesn’t mean they didn’t love or take care of them kids…………….. no parent or parents r perfect so look in ur back yard be4 u say somethin’ abt theses ppl……………………. i’m not right out standin’ up for them just statin’ a opinion
