Caylee Died Only Days After Last Seen and Caylee’s Body Was In Tot Moms Car For Days…that is what the lastest documents released show.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office believe little Caylee Anthony was slain within days of the time she was last seen in June, by her Grandparents. Also, her body was in the trunk of her mother’s car for “a period of time,” according to new documents released February 18Th, 2009.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office released a slew of documents and photographs in the Caylee Anthony case, where Caylee’s mother, Casey Anthony, 22, faces many charges, including first degree murder for Caylee’s death..
The documents include myriad photos of the location where little Caylee’s skeletal remains were found December 1th, 2008. A wooded area about a one-third mile from where Caylee and Casey Anthony lived with their grandparents/parents. and her mother lived with Casey Anthony’s parents. Also listed was evidence taken from that site, the Anthony home and Casey Anthony’s car.
A supplemental report verified that police believe Caylee was killed between June 16, the day the toddler was last seen, and June 27. This was based on evidence found in the car as well as evidence found with the child’s body. The report continues with evidence suggesting “the body of Caylee Anthony was in the trunk … for a period of time but removed prior to June 27th, 2008.”
When Casey was notified at the Orange County Jail in December that the body had finally been discovered, Casey Anthony “allegedly had begun to hyperventilate and asked to be given some medication,” the report stated.
Other information in the documents concluded that little Caylee’s body was found with a piece of duct tape covering her mouth. The tape appeared to have been intentionally put on the child’s mouth. Forensic analysis of the tape turned up “residue in the perfect shape of a heart,” apparently from a sticker that had been placed over the duct tape. This heart shaped sticker was found near Caylee’s body.
The duct tape did not show any fingerprints were found on the duct tape.
A sheet of heart shaped stickers with some missing were found by police executing a search warrant at the Anthony home. Forensic analysis showed that the duct tape found over Caylee’s mouth was similar to that found on a gas can in the Anthony home.
What did Casey Anthony’s defense team say? They called the forensic evidence “junk science.” They pointed to a two year study by the National Academy of Sciences, which said it found a “badly fragmented” forensic system that produces inconsistent results and needs a major overhaul.
The defense declared its own experts would conduct an objective analysis of the evidence. They noted the duct tape, found to be similar as those on the gas can, is the most widely sold duct tape in the nation. “It is just as important to focus on the fact that there are no fingerprints on the duct tape, and there never was any red sticker of any shape or size found on the tape,” Caseys’ defense attorney, Jose Baez said.
What was the list of items found with Caylee’s body? Police documents showed a Winnie the Pooh blanket, clothing and pieces of a child’s “pull-up pants,” a type of diaper.
There is also a photo of an entry in a journal that appears to belong to Casey Anthony. It is dated June 21, but the year is unclear, as an opposite page bears the notation, “’03.”
“I have no regrets, just a bit worried,” says the entry. “I just want for everything to work out okay. I completely trust my own judgment and know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means. I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see.
“This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time,” the entry continues. “I hope that my happiness will continue to grow. I’ve made new friends that I really like. I’ve surrounded myself with good people. I am finally happy, let’s just hope that it doesn’t change.”
It sounds to me that the state is building a good case against Casey Anthony.
All I hear from the Baez team has been whining and words that have no backing. Having to come up against all of this evidence is not going to be easy. Baez has his hands full. Nothing at all surprises me about this case but this old news and that is a fact.
I think that the entire family should be put in jail today because they didn’t care enough to really take good care of this innocent child.
I still think they should take DNA from George to rule him in or out being the father of Caylee and that is a fact.
I believe that the period of time Caylee was killed and dumped was the most WORK Casey has done in years. first she started to dig by the pool in the back yard, but maybe first she had to get all the bags, trash and hamper together and tie her up with duck tape wrapped around her little head and don’t forget she placed a heart sticker on the tape before lifting her dead body up and into the truck of her car. Then she still had to think of a good place to throw out the trash bag, how silly to do it in your own neighbor hood, but that’s what people do, the most comfortable thing for them or place. If she would of put all that energy into a good job maybe she’d not be on all this trouble.
