America Has A New Miss America 2009-Miss Indiana Katie Stam Age 22

America has a new Miss America 2009-Miss Indiana Katie Stam age 22, became the very first Hoosier to be crowned Miss America.
Katie comes from Seymour, Indiana. As the winner she will take home a $50,000 scholarship before embarking on a year of travel and public appearances.
Katie is also a University of Indianapolis student and was also named the preliminary lifestyle and fitness winner earlier this week, winning an additional $1,000 scholarship.

In a new twist for this year’s pageant, viewers of a lead-in reality show, “Miss America: Countdown to the Crown” voted in four of the finalists, while the judges announced the other 11 during a live TLC television broadcast from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Those four winners were Katie, from Indiana; Miss South Dakota, Alexandra Hoffman; Miss Georgia, Chasity Hardman and Miss Alabama, Amanda Tapley.
Miss America 2008, Kirsten Haglund of Michigan crowned the new Miss America 2009-Miss Indiana Katie Stam age 22, as is the custom.

Congratulations to miss Indiana. She will make a great Miss America. I am glad to see someone from the heartland of America win.
I guess it was pretty cool she won. I don’t really get into this kind of stuff because , to me, look at all the photos they all look the same!! What makes this one so special?!
She is really a lovely looking lady.
But to me a $50,000 scholarship just doesn’t seem enough to me the way college is going up and up but that is just my opinion.
I just hope they don’t find something in her past thats going to hurt her some how because that seems to happen more often than not.
MAY GOD BLESS HER AND HER ENTIRE FAMILY NOW AND FOREVER AS I AM SURE HE WILL!!!
