Fifteen Pacifiers Found In A Missouri Dog Stomach

Fifteen pacifiers found in a Missouri dog stomach plus a bottle cap and a piece of a basketball…

Veterinarians in Warson Woods, Missouri, operated on a 2 year old bulldog named Lulu and found everything but the kitchen sink in Lulu’s stomach.

(pic) This is not the actual pacifier swallowing, Lulu just an adorable English Bull Dog.

David and Jennifer Swart, who belong to Lulu, said their 18month old human daughter’s pacifiers kept disappearing and they just kept buying more. Not knowing where they vanished to.

When Lulu showed an interest in the pacifiers, the Swart’s put two and two together and took Lulu to the veterinary, who performed surgery last month after X-rays revealed an unusual gray area in Lulu’s stomach.

The good vets saved the pacifiers, some of which had turned black from Lulu’s stomach acid, to show the Swarts.

Lulu’s surgery cost 808 dollars but was covered by Veterinary Pet Insurance, a California insurer that declared Lulu’s case its most unusual for the month of December. Even thought there was some tough compitition. Some claims were for dogs who ate nails, a packaged fire log, a whole turkey and several wigs.

None of which sound tasty to me except the turkey…but fifteen pacifiers found in a Missouri dog stomach…YUCK! But, I am sure that Lulu was worth the 808 dollar surgery. Get well soon, Lulu and stay away from those pacifiers.

The funny thing is my first dog I ever had in Central America her name was LULU and she was a little devil herself so I guess you have to watch dogs who name is LULU.
But so many pacifiers how did animal get a hold of all of them unless the child gave them to dog to share? Which is a possibilty but didn’t they notice that the dog was ill at all? He couldn’t have been able to pass his waiste very well at all.
Well at the very least they found where they were disappearing now they know they have to be more careful while the baby is around the dog.
