Forced Fluoridation-The Dangers of Forced Fluoridation In Water

Forced Fluoridation-The Dangers of Forced Fluoridation In Water, do you know them?
Back in the 40′s and 50′s Medical Science decided that Fluoride needed to be swallowed to be of any health benefit. NOTHING could have been further from the truth and still isn’t.
Now the government is forcing fluoridation on us by putting it in our water supplies. Here is some information you should be aware of. Fluoride is not a good thing to humans or animals…so be careful what you give your beloved pet and drink yourself.
Ingestion of fluoride has very little benefit, and far more great risks. Whereas fluoride’s benefits come from any contact with teeth, its risks to health result from being swallowed.
Swallowing fluoride involves many more tissues and organs than just your teeth.
Adverse Effects From Fluoride Ingestion or Forced Fluoridation:
1. Risk To The Brain
According to the National Research Council (NRC), fluoride can damage the brain. Animal studies conducted in the 1990s by EPA scientists found similar dementia effects at the same concentration (1 ppm) used to fluoridate water.
Human studies have found adverse effects on IQ at levels as low as 0.9 ppm among children with nutrient deficiencies, and 1.8 ppm among children with adequate nutrient intake.
2. Risk To The Thyroid Gland
According to the NRC, fluoride is an “endocrine disrupter.” Most notably, the NRC has warned that doses of fluoride as small as (0.01-0.03 mg/kg/day) achievable by drinking fluoridated water, may reduce the function of the thyroid among individuals with low iodine intake. Reduction of thyroid activity can lead to loss of mental acuity, depression and weight gain.
2. Risk to bones
According to the NRC, fluoride can diminish bone strength and increase the risk for bone fracture. While the NRC was unable to determine what level of fluoride is safe for bones, it noted that the best available information suggests that fracture risk may be increased at levels as low 1.5 ppm, which is only slightly higher than the concentration (0.7-1.2 ppm) added to water for fluoridation.
4. Risk for bone cancer
Included in a recent study from a team of Harvard scientists, using both animal and human studies, they found a connection between fluoride and a serious form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma. This happens mostly in males under the age of 20. The connection between fluoride and osteosarcoma has been described by the National Toxicology Program as “biologically plausible.” Up to 50% of adolescents who develop osteosarcoma die within a few years of diagnosis.
Just so you will know how serious this is to children and young adults, Osteosarcoma is the 6Th leading cancer amongst children. That glass of water you are giving them can be more harmful then sodas and we know how harmful those are.
6. Risk To Kidney Patients
People with kidney diseases have a higher susceptibility to fluoride poisoning. The heightened risk stems from an impaired ability to excrete fluoride from the body. As a result, toxic levels of fluoride can accumulate in the bones, intensify the toxicity of aluminum build up, and cause or exacerbate a painful bone disease known as renal osteodystrophy. You also have a higher risk to get kidney stones.
Those of you who are prone to kidney stones just might want to change the water you drink. I have not knowingly drank city water for years.
7. Risk To Muscle Structure
Muscle structure and function, resulting in muscle weakness.
8. Risk To Red Blood Cells
Red blood cells, also called erythrocytes, are killed prematurely, lowering ones’ haemoglobin content, resulting in anaemia.
9. Risk To Blood Vessels
Blood vessels are blocked through calcification resulting in cardiac problems.
10. Risk To Male Production Organs
The male reproductive organs are affected resulting in defective sperms, leading to infertility in some men, which is again related to the hormonal status of the individual.
11. Risk To The Gastrointestinal Tract
The gastrointestinal tract mucosa is deranged the lining of the stomach and intestine. This will result in pain in the stomach, gas formation, nausea, loss of appetite, constipation followed with intermittent diarrhea.
12. Risk To Teeth
People loose their teeth and will need dentures at a relatively young age.
13. Risk To Hips
Hip fractures are more common with people who are drinking Fluoride and that effects the elderly and in-firmed more.
14. Risk To Birth Defects and Death
Causes Birth Defects and Perinatal Deaths according to a toxicologist in the UK. Those studies have shown that in areas where there was forced Fluoridation, there were 15% higher perinatal deaths.
Here is a link to a site where you can vote against Forced Fluoride…your congress representative needs to know how you feel about Forced Fluoride…do not stand by while the government harms you, your children, grandchildren and animals.
Tell your Congressional representatives you want an end to fluoridation now!

Forced Fluoridation is not a pretty picture and neither are the fluoride effects, you should protest it. As you can see the dangers of forced Fluoridation in water is not good for adults, children and even your animals. To sum it up, Fluoridation is not safe or effective. Rise up and be heard Baby Boomers!

Ridiculous scare tactics! We have had fluoridated water in Australia for decades!
My kids are in their 30′s and have never had a filling, they have great teeth and great health as do all their friends.
I have never heard of fluoride in the drinking water being proven to cause any of these health issues in Australia.
The glass of soda is definitly a poor choice compared to fluoridated water as obesity is
a huge problem in youth today. Junk foods are a much greater threat to health than fluoride in my opinion!
If it is so dangerous why are they going to do it?
Just because all of this should end and now and that is a fact.
Welcome to BBAC Mary,
Why is it that Australians voted in 1991 against forced fluoridation to the tune of 62.5 percent? As well, are the Scotch, Welsh and the UK against it. India is having huge issues with it and it is costing them horrendous moneys to back out of the program?
You can buy toothpaste with Fluoride, why drink it.
The government is for Gardasil as well here in the states…now there is some sure poison they are trying to force into our children.
I am glad that your children are well and grew up fine not all will be as healthy as your children.
I am not one to sit back and let the government or FDA speak or choose for me. In fact I am more likely to go against government because I know that somewhere there are cut backs and payoffs connected to it and it not for my best interests that decisions are made, but greed.
You are right, obesity is a huge issue and you will see weight articles all over BBAC as well as heart healthy recipes. How ever, there are reports in that show that fluoridation are also associated with weight gain. Weight gain is not obesity but it is the first baby step.
Sincerely,
Sharon

Thank you for your welcome Sharon!
I am attaching an article which I think is balanced and non sensational on the subject of fluoridation.
Dentists call for fluoride in bottled water
Adam Cresswell, Health editor | December 01, 2007
Article from: The Australian
BOTTLED water should be fluoridated to the same concentrations as public drinking water in order to reduce tooth decay, according to a revised policy by Australia’s top dental body.
The Australian Dental Association has reinforced its existing stance in favour of fluoridation, saying there is now “clear solid scientific evidence” that the practice is effective at protecting teeth.
“The claims of those opposing fluoridation are based on outdated information and selective studies that support their case,” the ADA said. “However, no convincing or credible scientific evidence exists that fluoride, when supplied at the optimum level (one part per million) in drinking water, causes any adverse health effects.”
ADA president and Melbourne dentist John Matthews says other changes in the revised policy relate to fluoride supplements, which the association no longer recommends in tablet form due to the risk of fluorosis, or mottling of the teeth.
However, Matthews says that although there has been a slight increase in the rate of dental decay among children, he does not believe the theory that this is caused by children drinking bottled water, which currently cannot be fluoridated by law.
Instead, he says it is more likely to be related to a deliberate reduction in the concentration of fluoride incorporated into children’s toothpastes. This concentration has been halved relative to adult toothpaste in order to be “extra safe” in reducing the risk of fluorosis, but the flip side may well be that dental caries rise slightly as a result.
“Fluoride should be added to bottled water at the normal level in reticulated (town) water, which varies from 0.6 parts per million to 1 part per million (ppm), depending on the humidity and water consumption,” he says. “In the bottom part of Australia the level (of added fluoride) is different to the top part.”
Fluoridation of drinking water remains contentious in some parts of Australia, particularly Queensland, where less than 5 per cent of drinking water supplies are fortified with the mineral — a stark difference to most other parts of Australia. Often the decision has been left to local councils, leading to emotive debates.
Although fluorides are naturally occurring compounds and are present in a wide variety of foods, usually at low concentrations, opponents of fluoridation focus on the fact that the element fluorine, from which they are derived, is toxic in its pure form.
Fluorides themselves can have harmful effects at high doses. Advocates of fluoridation say this is not a relevant criticism when the concentrations in drinking water are less than 1 part per million, and plenty of other compounds necessary for human health — including common table salt, comprising sodium and chlorine which are both essential for life — are also toxic in higher doses.
A circular about the new policy distributed by the ADA says recent Australian research has added to the weight of evidence in favour of the safety and efficacy of fluoride in drinking water. The circular says tooth decay is higher in Queensland than other states that have higher rates of water fluoridation. However, in Townsville — one of the few Queensland cities to be fluoridated, since 1964 — children have 45 per cent less tooth decay than their counterparts in Brisbane.
“Today, it is estimated that 31 per cent of Australian adults remain without access to fluoridated public water,” the ADA says. “Sadly, much of this is due to decisions made at local and state government level which have become politically motivated rather than based on scientific fact.”
My old dog, Sammy, gets sick when he drinks town fluoridated water. I had to get a reverse osmosis filter for him – and me.
Hello John,
I am so sorry to hear about Sammy. Can you imagine what it has been doing to you as well…?
Go to the next town meeting…make them stop using fluoride.
I have never given my pets water from the cities water supply and I carry water in the car for them and me. Isn’t a shame that we can not drink or cook with the water that comes out of our taps. Fortunately, I have well water.
Check out our newest ariticle on Fluoride. Written by George Glasser.
Hope to see you often and soon at BBAC.
Peace,
Sharon
