Just like Carol, my mom always rubbed Vicks on my back whenever I suffer from colds back when I was still young. Good thing, I didn't experience airway inflammation. My mom also used it to treat her onychomycosis, which I think isn't effective at all. Perhaps, the point here is to use the product in moderation to avoid its associated risks.
