Is Splenda Safe-Recent Studies About Splenda By Duke University

Is Splenda Safe? Diets Sodas are better than drinking regular sodas, aren’t they…I get these questions alot. But nothing can be further from the truth.
In a recent studies about Splenda by Duke University, they have come up with come interesting facts, some of which you are not going to want to believe. In September of 2008, Duke released their new findings about Splenda. Here are their findings:
Duke Splenda Report
* Splenda-Reduces the amount of good bacteria in the intestines by 50%.
* Splenda-Increases the pH level in the intestines.
* Splenda-Contributes to increases in body weight.
* Splenda-Affects the P-glycoprotein (P-gp) in the body in such a way that crucial health related drugs could be rejected.
Did that wake any of you up? Face it, these are really some scary observations. Some that could be dangerous or even life threatening to persons with special health problems.
So, let’s look at diet sodas. As you know, almost all low-calorie soda contains sucralose or aspartame. Wake up America…these are not chemicals you want to put into your body. Especially if you have had cancer. Why do I say that? Because my Doctor told me that after my third cancer surgery. Do not take anything with aspartame.
Stay Away From Diet Soda
Soda’s were on the hardest monkeys I had to kick. I drank 6 to 12 a day depending on if I was busy at work. It was a real mind set not to crave sodas, and desire water instead. The fact that low calorie sodas were detrimental to weight control was a huge hurdle for me to jump over…that fact that I shouldn’t be drinking them because of the type of cancer I had still didn’t make it any easier.
The idea that artificial sweeteners contribute to weight gain has now been confirmed by multiple studies performed in 2007 and 2008. So, it’s a good idea to stick to water and unsweetened tea as your beverages of choice if you want to lose weight or some pounds. You can sweeten with honey and it is a natural sweetner, not harmful. Honey is good.
Wouldn’t it be nice if you actually craved water, instead of sodas and juices? there are many who are doing just that with the help of hypnosis. But remember every time you want to use Splend…think…is Splenda safe? What were those recent studies about Splenda by Duke University??? Do I really want to put that inside my body?

It always gets me when folks say they drink 6 to 12 sodas a day. I think that is a problem. But one a day or occasionally is not really a problem. If it doesn’t have sugar or corn syrup in it
aspartame has some nasty side effects too plus its long term effects on health is still not known
