Auto Enthusiasts Get A Sneak Peek At The Obama Limo or as you guys might call them, “Obama Wheels.” Auto enthusiasts everywhere, have wondered what the Obama Limo will be. Each Presidents gets to have his own limos to their specifications. Obama’s new “Wheels” will be painted Jet Black.

First Barack Obama will take the oath of office as the 44Th President of the United States. Then he will climb into the Mother of All Hybrids…part automobile, part truck and perhaps even part armored tank, for his protection.

In keeping with tradition, the Secret Service will place the new presidential limousine into service January 20 to drive our new president on the 2 mile cruise, lined with US citizens hoping to get a glance at Obama, down Pennsylvania Avenue for the Inaugural Parade.

These sneak peek photos of the Obama limo with patches of gray primer have already gotten out. Here are some of the reviews:

“Ugly as sin,” says one car enthusiast on an auto site.

“Can’t we make a hotter ride for our pres?”

“Sheesh,” says another, “why don’t they just transport the president around in an Abrams tank.”

One news agency, noting its 8 inch thick doors, says the limo can withstand a “direct hit from an asteroid.” That one is my personal favorite. I wish I had said it…

Joanne K. Krell, who is a spokesperson for General Motors, laughed off the comments and merely stated, “it will fix you a latte if you ask,” she jokes.

The new presidential Obama limo is a Cadillac, though it is “not a direct extension of any single model.” The limo is built to precise and special specifications, undergoes extreme testing and development, and also incorporates many of the top aspects of Cadillac’s ‘regular’ cars for luxuere such as signature design, hand cut and sewn interiors, all of the great peaks especially communication capabilities,  phones, satellites, the Internet. Everything is at the President’s fingertips.

Even though the US government spares no expense for the presidential limo, the weight of the car makes it less maneuverable and more sluggish than comparable sport utility vehicles. The door and window frames, which accommodate thick ballistic glass, create large blind spots, will protect the President. The new Limos are literally is a rolling bunker, that just happens to have wheels on it.

Past limousines, before 911, were designed just well enough to provide protection to get the president out of the situation. Today’s Limos are  expected to protect through a prolonged attack. If there is an attack, they will expect a lot more violent weapon then one you can hold in you hand.

It looks like Obama has more to worry about besides a Nation drowning in debt, health care and Iraq…it looks like his safety and those of his family are at stake.
