Tragedy Has Hit John Travolta and Kelly Preston Their Son Has Died

Jett Travolta, the 16 year old son of actor John Travolta and actress Kelly Preston, died Friday morning after suffering a seizure while vacationing with his family in the Bahamas. At this point, we know that John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s only son, Jett, had a seizure at around 10 a.m. this morning,” attorney Michael Ossi said. “All attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.”
Young Jett hit his head after the seizure, but the exact cause of death is not yet known. An autopsy will be conducted Monday. The couple have a permanent home in the Ocala, Florida area and his body will be sent there, for it’s final resting place…
Jett’s death “was completely out of the blue,” he said. “John and Kelly are happy when their children are happy. This is the worst day of John’s life.”
Here is a CNN Video with John Travolta and his son Jett, in Paris. Also in the video is his Mother Kelly Preston and their younger daughter, Ella, 8. As they try to get some shopping done along the streets of Paris. This video was taken two weeks ago when the family went there to see John filming another film.
Bahamian authorities said a caretaker at the West End resort where the Travoltas were vacationing found the teenager unconscious in the bathroom. Jett Travolta was taken by ambulance to Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport and was pronounced dead on arrival.
60 family members and friends where coming in to the Islands celebrate with John, Kelly, Jett and Ella. It was a huge tragedy that no parent should ever have to go through.
Living not far from Kelly and John Travolta, the whole area knew about Jetts’ chemical reactions and John and Kellys devotion to him. They have lived in our area for a while now and though they are private people, their children go to regular schools and they never turn away a friendly hello.
Jett Travolta had a developmental disability that his parents, John Travolta and Kelly Preston, have linked to Kawasaki Disease, an inflammatory disorder of the artery walls that most commonly occurs in young children and can lead to heart disease and though very rare like the disease its self, it can lead to aneurysms.
Both Kelly and John Preston blamed chemicals in household cleaners and pesticides for attacking her son’s immune system and triggering Kawasaki Disease.

Our thought and prayers are with them during this time of great loss of Jett Travolta. May John Travolta, Kelly Preston and little Ella find some peace that they were able to love him for his short time on earth. He was a very special young man. Sometimes 16 years is a life time.

I am just so sorry for John Travolta’s and Kelly Preston’s loss of their son.. I wish them all the best at this sad time in their family’s life.
You know the thing that really makes me ill about the death of this innocent child it could have been avoided.
This boy needed tho watched 24/7 and that is a fact. If they couldn’t watch him there are dogs that are trained to know if the child or adult is in trouble. Did his “religion” not allow that as well. If they really loved him they would have gotten one of them with all the money they have and that is a fact.
I think that was child neglect and abuse as well because there was something that could have done and that child would be alive today but they chose not to do it
and that is so sad and that is a fact.
Because he is who he is none of that is going to happen but it should to tell all the other people who allow this to happen they would have to pay for not keeping watch on child that has this sort of problem.
MAY G OD BLESS THIS INNOCENT CHILD NOW AND FOREVER AS I AM SURE HE WILL. NOW HE BEING TAKEN CARE OF THE WAY HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
Dear Carol…
I understand your concern for Jett but the Travolta’s had two Nanny’s with him at the time of this tragedy. Not one but two.
More news is coming forward about what happened. The accident was taken care of almost instantly. There were alarms though out the suite and in the bathroom as well.
Please what the update about this tragedy and your heart and mind will rest better.
Sincerely
Sharon

I’m so sorry for the lost of your son. People can’t understand what you are going through unless they experienced the same tragedy. My son recently passed almost the same way your son did, he was at work when he had a heart attack in the store bathroom ,my son died on Oct.16.2008 at the age of 23. Brandon white is his name and I just can’t face it yet, sometimes I still expect him too come through the door. I know our hearts are feeling more empty, but I know our memories will always last forever. I know you might not read this, just know you’ll have me and my thoughts and prayers and if by chance you do read this please e-mail me so we can shares stories of our wonderful sons. Please keep me in your prayers also.
Thank-you.

Dear Cheryl,
Welcome to BBAC.
I just wanted to tell you that I was sorry to hear about your great loss.
I don’t know if The Travolta’s will ever come to BBAC and read your heart felt message, but I did. I know you are out there…and perhaps your message will help some other parent, who is wearing the same shoes that you and the Travolta’s are wearing right now.
A huge void is left somewhere in the universe, when a child dies before it’s parents.
Sincerely,
Sharon
