Santa Gunman-Had A Secret Guilt

santakillerupdate Santa Gunman Had A Secret Guilt

“The Santa Gunman-had a secret guilt,” say police. Bruce Jeffrey Pardo who dressed up as Santa Claus, killed nine people and injured three, at a Christmas Eve party lived with a secret guilt, not even his ex-wife was aware of…

What Was The Santa Shooter’s Secret Guilt???

In a previous relationship…Pardo has a son with former girlfriend Elena Lucano (who has a child support case against Pardo). Her attorney says that. “Pardo and Lucano were in an “off-and-on again relationship” in 2001. During that time, Elena and Pardo had a child named Matthew. He was 13 months old.

One Saturday afternoon Ms. Lucano went grocery shopping, leaving Pardo to watch little Matthew. She returned a short time later and found Pardo frantically holding Matthew and Matthew was unconscious. Matthew had gotten away from Pardo for a few minutes and managed to crawl out of a patio door and had slipped into their pool.

Frantic, the couple rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where paramedics resuscitated him. After which they airlifted Matthew to Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, a world know trauma center that specializes in severe pediatric care and specialized treatments.

The first week was horrible, little Matthew, never left the intensive care unit and Pardo never left his son’s side. Few weeks after the child was stabilized, doctors concluded that Matthew had severe brain damage would be confined to a wheelchair for rest of his life.

In less than six months, Pardo and Lucano ended their relationship. Pardo had stopped visiting his son and contributing to Matthew’s medical costs, which surged up to $340,000 within the first year.

Do you see a pattern here, Baby Boomers? Guilt, eating away at Pardo. Even though the whole chain of events was his inability to watch after one small little boy and keep him safe.

Elena’s attorney states, “We had to sue (Pardo) on his $100,000 homeowner’s insurance policy, and I recommended that Elena sue Bruce beyond the policy,” he said. “She was not a vindictive type, and she knew he was living with overwhelming guilt and wanted to only pursue his policy.
We never had any problems with Pardo and was able to collect the $100,000 policy to pay off medical bills and set up a special needs trust of $240 per month for the rest of Matthew’s life.

The boy is now 9 years old. Once the settlement was reached in August 2002, Bruce stopped communicating completely and never saw Matthew or Elena again.”

The Santa Gunman secret guilt was already eating away at him, day by day…grinding away at his very core. Unfortunately, Silvia and her family were the ones that were going to pay for the Secret Guilt. A LA community and more than six families were going to be destroyed before it was all said and done. With Pardo the reason, for it all.

Elena maintained occasional contact with Pardo’s mother over the years but she was unaware that Pardo had remarried and never anticipated the violent path that ended his life, left nine people dead and three injured.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Pardo’s other family never knew about his relationship with Elena or about little Matthew and his condition. He kept it hush-hush from his wife. So, when she did find out, her anger over the situation and finding out that Pardo had claimed Matthew as a tax dependent for several years became a major factor in their divorce their proceedings.

Police Chief Kim Raney said Friday that a divorce between the two was finalized in court December 18, 2008, in a “somewhat contentious proceeding.”

Police said Sunday, a car believed to have been rented by Pardo on December 19, a gray Toyota RAV4, was found in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale. Authorities had cautioned the missing car might be booby-trapped or contain explosives, but it was unclear whether any had been found. Police and authorities are not releasing that information yet.

If you remember, another rented car that Pardo used to flee the scene was found
booby-trapped after the Christmas Eve Massacre shooting. That car burned as the Covina bomb squad was trying to disconnect an explosive device in it.

How is Elena taking all of this…?

Her attorney states, “She is overwhelmed by all of this, but Elena has managed to provide for Matthew as a single parent with a part-time nurse and a full-time job. Elena Lucano is refusing interviews.”

Bruce Jeffrey Pardo was the Santa Gunman. He had a secret guilt, one that no parent should ever hope to have to live with. The 17,000 he had stripped to his person…perhaps that money belongs to Matthew. No amount of money will ever help Silvia’s family recoup their horrendous loses. This is truly one sad story.
