Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich-Says He Is Not Guilty and Won’t Resign. That he is innocent of any criminal wrong doing and plans to stay on the job. He says he will not quit a job he was voted in to do.

In his first official statement since his arrest on corruption charges last week, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich says, “I will fight until I take my last breath.”

Prosecutors have accused Gov. Blagojevich of trying to sell President-elect Barack Obama’s vacant U.S. Senate seat to the highest bidder. It is rumored that Rev. Jessie Jackson was one of the main catalysts in that process.

The Democratic Illinois Governor Blagojevich was quoted as saying, “I am dying to answer these charges, I am dying to show you how innocent I am. However I intend to answer them in an appropriate forum, I intend to answer them in a court of law. I will be vindicated because I have personal knowledge that I have not done anything wrong.”

Governor Blagojevich appears to be the only one who has that knowledge or perhaps believes that statement.

Stomp his feet and fight all he wants to, state lawmakers have set the wheels in motion for impeachment. Hoping to force the governor out of office. But…It looks like he is not going down with out a fight.

Gov. Blagojevich has his dream team of lawyers helping him fight impeachment and the criminal charges. But then again so did Senator Stevens and he still claims he was innocent.

There are four other Senators that I would like to see looking at charges…Starting with Democrat Senator Dobbs. We need to start cleaning out politics, in America. But, that is another story.
