The 7 Super Foods-For Better Diabetic Control and Healthy Longevity

Free Range Chicken, Turkey and Chicken Eggs
Buying range free poultry products means buying happy food. Food that is not kept in cramped cages without exercise or sunlight. Not even a plant can give you nutrients from that type of environment. It also ensures, that you will not be eating animal by-products, antibiotics, additives or growth enhancers. Most farmers only feed them only grain, electrolytes and what they can forage. Even the way that they kill the birds are more human.
You will noticeably be able to taste the difference.

Walnuts

Like salmon, walnuts contain significant amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, which should be HIGH on your must eat list. They’re also full of natural plant sterols, which will help lower LDL cholesterol. Walnuts also contain magnesium, copper, folate and vitamin E. A good thing to go nuts on.

Oats
This natural whole grain delivers cholesterol lowering soluble fiber and naturally gives you energy yielding carbohydrates without spiking tour blood sugar levels. Oats also keep blood pressure in check. Make sure your oats are whole oats, otherwise you are defeating your purpose..

Black Beans
Power packed with protein, fibre plus nutrients such as magnesium, iron and folate, these legumes keep the heart happy by controlling cholesterol and blood pressure. The darker the bean the more heart healthy, this bean is a true winner in the heart healthy category and a great replacement for red meat.

Spinach
It’s hard to beat this green leafy vegetable for natural vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The natural antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, battle against cataracts and macular degeneration. High in calcium and vitamin K, spinach is also great for bones. Popeye really knew what he was talking about!

Cranberries
Packed with bacteria fighting anthocyanins, this sweet little tart fruit also benefits the heart by inhibiting the build-up of LDL (bad) cholesterol. They also are known for their flavoniods or bio flavonoids. The darker the berry the more antioxidants. I use this little berry for urinary diseases as well.

Acai Berries or Juice
I have added this Brazilian Berry in because it is the number one superfood in the world. It is also the reason that I no longer have to take diabetic medicine. In three months after taking this dark purple acai berry, I was off my diabetic medication and have been off meds for three years. It is packed full of antioxidants, anthocyanins, amino acids and essential fatty acids. Truly a must eat fruit.

As a diabetic or if you are a diabetic care giver, foods that diabetics should avoid at all costs are high fat foods, processed foods with a lot of sodium and you should restrict the amount of alcohol intake.

  1. I got diabetic few years back. its not my family disease. There is variation of my fasting & random sugar level tests, but my weight & waist are constant about more then 20 years. I passes urine about 6 times a day & sleep sound in the night and only went for urine early in the morning. Am using medicine for the sugar treatment.
mostly fasting is 130/140 & random 200/230. Usually I use to go for brisk walk in the evening for about 1 hr. So, what is the better suggestion in this regard.
    Thanks.
