Info on Caylee Anthony-TIPS Were Missed in July and August
Tips where missed in July and August of 2008, when a childhood friend, the meter reader and pyschics, all tipped police about the Caylee Anthony site. Police are looking into the possibility of a lead breakdown.
The same meter reader with the tops, was the same meter reader who found the small child’s head in a bag last week. He had previously called the police three times telling them about a bag he saw by the side of the road, way back on August 11Th, the 12Th and the 13Th, of 2008. That’s right, the same meter reader, who lead the Investigators last week to the now, Caylee Anthony crime site. Police do not believe him to be a suspect, only a witness.
Capt. Angelo Nieves, an Orange County Sheriff’s Department commander, who has been at the crime site since day one, stated that investigators are looking into whether the tips, called in August 11Th, 12Th and 13Th, were properly followed up. Nieves also stated that in one of those phone calls, the meter reader reported seeing a gray bag on the side of the road. On August 13Th, a deputy responded to the site and did a “cursory search” but found nothing, Nieves said. It is believed that the body site was under water at the time.
KioMarie Cruz, a childhood friend of little Caylee’s mother, Casey Anthony, also called the police in July to tell them about the area that is now called the Caylee Crime Site. According to Ms. Cruz, she and Casey Anthony, used to hang out there a lot, to get away from their parents. Talking and snacking for hours on end. You know, regular teenage stuff, that teenagers do…
Nieves said the Sheriff’s Department are getting more information from the tipsters and the deputy who responded to the tips. The department is investigating the “thoroughness” of the deputy’s response but would not identify the deputy.
Nieves’ latest announcement is raising questions about whether police missed several chances in finding Caylee earlier. Why? Because, the meter reader was not the only tipster, or the first tipster, to have pointed police toward the site containing the remains. There are also a couple of psychics that contacted authorites in July, who were very close in their predictions. Those leads were not followed up on either. The sheriff’s office did follow up on that tip, but the wooded area was then covered in flood waters, preventing a though and complete search. In other words, he might have gotten out of the car…and walked up and down the road, with out being able to see the body bag.
Nieves also stated Thursday that searchers combing the site after the skull’s discovery had found “significant skeletal remains” consistent with those of a small child on the outer perimeter of the search area. Crime site will be enlarged, and processing and searching of the site will continue into the weekend.
Some of the remains have been sent to the FBI lab in Quantico, Virginia, in an effort to identify them. Authorities have said the remains are believed to be Caylee’s, but an identification is officially still pending.
Sheriff’s spokesman Carlos Padilla said last week that authorities believe the remains are Caylee’s for three reasons:
1. No other children have been reported missing in the area
2. The remains are consistent with those of a child of Caylee’s age
3. The remains were found near the home of the grandparents, where the 2 year old and her mother were living just before Caylee disappeared.
FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said Monday that he did not know when tests would be complete, but an attorney for Caylee Anthony’s Grandparents said the FBI are likely to have results “within the next week.”
Casey Anthony is still facing the possibility of life in prison if convicted of her child’s death. Prosecutors said in December, that they would not seek the death penalty.

I just want to say to the grandparents and uncle, this is got to be very very difficult

Well it’s about time! Now that baby can have a proper resting place and possibly justice on the horizon. That poor baby was DUMPED like trash and unfortunately, we all knew it all along! Cindy & George could have very well known it all along too, yet they chose to lie and deny. We all knew that the consequences of denial could result in Caylee’s remains being scavenged by animals somewhere. We all cried for justice and a proper resting place for this baby. The Anthony’s had absolutely concern about what the environmental elements could be doing to that child’s remains.
I have no sympathy for the Anthony’s what-so-ever! In fact I have suspicions about their involvement, after the fact.
Wonder why the cadaver dogs hit it so many areas? THEY KEPT MOVING THE BODY!
George is a retired homicide detective. Where is the one place to hide a criminal? The police station!
Where is the one place to hide a body? Areas which have already been searched!
Wouldn’t you think that George has a police scanner? Hummm.
Could George have heard the dispatch to the area and removed the body again?
Could Casey have heard the dispatch and moved the body every time acting alone?
Even if police did search the area each time the suspicious bag was reported, if the bag were removed, then how could they find it!
Keep in mind, when this meter reader reported it one of the first times, the location was reported as woods across the street from where it was actually found! How quick and easy would it be to just move the bag across the street quickly before the police arrive.
Wasn’t George observed standing at the edge of the woods somewhere? Could he have been moving the body for the 8th or ninth time? Or possibly searching for a new location?
Or do you really believe that Cindy and George bought into Casey’s pile of lies all awhile not believing the facts and evidence?
And why seek immunity? Humm
I’m just saying that this situation is much more likely than the “meter reader” did it!
This story is only as difficult and Bazaar as we allow it to be!
There are millions of arm chair detectives out there who helped anyway they could sending in tips. This meter reader is no more different than any arm detective out there who is convinced that they are correct about something in this case!
I commend him for his determination. Most people would have walked away after being refused the first two times! While others are sitting on their buts comlaining about how long it was taking to find Caylee, others were actually being vigilant in the searches and suspicions. STOP MAKING THIS MORE OF A CIRCUS! Read it for what it is!
My question remains how many of the Orange County Deputies did Casey have a sexual relationship with before August 11 th. 2008? And will that answer ever be made public?
If the meter reader ( Roy Kronk ) had not been presistent Caylee Anthony would still be there. A weather man in the Orange County area has already confirmed that during August 11, 12, and 13 th that area was not saturated with rain. The wooded area corner of Suburban Dr. and S Chicksaw Trail may have been well above any flood level.
But with the FBI involved I would think they will get to the bottom of who and what has taken place. I can only wonder if the media will ever know the real truth.
I am having a real problem with this. I find it hard to believe that this wooded area that’s so close to the Anthony home was not extensively searched back when these tips were called in. Being that the dogs hit on the Anthony property would it not behoove the police to search the nearest wooded areas next to the home? Areas that they had to know were familiar to Casey? I’m not a detective but my instincts would tell me to look at the closest/convenient areas! Especially knowing how she was agressively keeping her father away from the trunk of the car. 3 tips called in Aug.!!! How many of the tens of thousands of tips were specific to the nearest wooded area next to the Anthony home??? Can anyone say: “Dropped The Ball Big Time!!”
