But the fact that we knew of in this case ALL pointed to the conclusion that Casey knew something terrible happened to Caylee and did everything in her power to keep that truth hidden as long as possible….even so far as to have a “backup plan” (which most likely was to run away and meet up with the marine in california).

But more specific to Cindy and George – for them to be on Larry King and say over and over again that Casey was a great mom, and that the smell in the car was rotting pizza is a down right lie.

What? Did they forget about their FBI interviews? Did George forget that he knows the difference in smells and that once you have smelled a decomposing body “you don’t forget that smell”?

Those lies were an attempt (a continued attempt) to sway the American public and anyone who would listen away from the truth and the facts in the case. All they did was cause striffe and pour fuel on the media fire that they so stated they wanted to douse.

The media is a double edged sword. You can’t have the good without the bad. You can’t expect to get out there and have the media help you find a missing child, but then try and stop them from reporting on what are obvious lies, mistruths and things that just don’t make sense.

You can’t try and backpeddle on national television about a smell in a car and not expect people to ask the obvious questions. You can’t get pissy with rational people when they are faced with things that don’t add up and ask questions to try and make things add up.

I mean, let’s face it, many people (including science) has determined that the smell in the car was that of human decomposition. How on earth can you expect anyone at that point to settle for the answer that it was rotting pizza.

But….let’s have a little fun. Let’s just pretend that we believe that it was rotting pizza in a bag with maggots sitting in a car for 19 days (or however long it was). Let’s look at the facts.

1. George says the lot attendent took the bag out of the car and disposed of it.

2. George says that the smell didn’t disapate…but persisted even to them getting home.

3. George says that he had the windows open to ventilate the car prior to driving it – and even open when they got it home…but yet the smell filled up the house immediately.

4. We know that the smell was still strongly present the next day and day after for LE to be able to test it.

Why on earth do you think that a smell coming from a bag of garbage that had been removed from a car would still smell to the point of being tested days later. That just doesn’t add up.

But what does add up is the fact that it wasn’t the bag of pizza/maggots that caused the smell, but the human decomposition that seeped into the lining of the truck that caused the smell.

Oh, and let us not forget that pesky little thing called “Cadaver Dogs”. They are called “Cadaver” dogs for a reason. They are not called “spoiled pizza and maggot dogs”. They are not called “strong stench of garbage dogs”. They are trained to detect dead people.

I’m sure if we could translate their barks…it would say “I smell dead people”…and M. Night Shamalama Ding Dong would make a movie about it. Sorry, little tense humor. My bad.

But I digress.

Yes, this interview will go down in history as a study in denial and the effects of trying to use the media to perpetuate obstruction of justice (otherwise known as telling a lie).

All of the Anthony’s should be ashamed of themselves.

I actually felt sorry for them, at one point. I honestly had heart felt emotions for their situation. But it was their constant lies that drove me away from their corner. Oh, don’t misunderstand me….I never once felt anything except contempt for Casey. From the moment I heard of this story and heard how she lied from moment one….I could tell this wasn’t going to end well.

But I did have a moment where I felt for George and Cindy. More George than Cindy. George initially came across as, at least, willing to wrap his brain around fact and go with that.

But that was short lived. I can’t see how he was so willilng to look at the facts of the matter and come to a difference conclusion than the rest of rational society. There is no way I could look at the fact that my daughter tells LE that she has a job that she had to go to…drops the baby off to “zanny”…comes back and everyone has vanished….and know that she has no job…she has no office…there is no “zanny” and still say “well perhaps she is trying to protect someone”.

Bull plain and simple!!

What they needed to have done was demand that Casey tell them the truth – or suffer the onslaught on her own. Plain and simple.

You can’t get mad at the police for not issuing an Amber Alert a supposed 31 days after the baby went missing. There is nothing to go on. That is tantamount to wearing a condom a month after you get your woman pregnant.

But they decided to play her game and pick up the mantle and continue her lies. Although I hate, with a passion, what happened to Caylee….George, Cindy, Lee and Casey are getting what they so richly deserve.

They make me sick.
