The fourth body found, a child, in the home that was destroyed December 8Th, 2008 when a Marine Corps, Military jet crashes in San Diego.

Three bodies found hours after the crash were those of two adults and an infant. Authorities said Tuesday that they did not expect to find any other victims.
The F/A-18D plane, which had just performed landing training on a Navy aircraft carrier becameĀ disabled, while trying to land at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
The pilot, whose name was not released, was the only occupant of the two-seat aircraft, according to the Marine Corps.
Steve Diamond, a retired naval aviator who found the pilot in a tree behind a house, helped the lieutenant down from the tree. The pilot was dazed and concerned and stated that he tried to steer the plane away from homes so it would crash into a bushy canyon. The plane came in with one engine and eventually lost that one. Mr Diamond said that the pilot was concerned if any one was injured from the jet crash.
The good Samaritan, Mr Diamond is himself, a retired general, a pilot who has flown for 40 years and more than 270 missions in Vietnam, said the decision to eject is up to the pilot. F/A-18D planes are very dependable, but any aircraft is subject to error.
The Federal Aviation Administration did state that the pilot was in communication with military air traffic controllers before the jet crashed about two miles from the airfield.
The Marine Corps said it is investigating what went wrong with the plane. The military has jurisdiction over the crash site. The site crash included 5 homes. Two homes were lost, burning debris scorched two additional homes, and a piece of the jet struck another home.
BBAC sends it condolences out to those who lost loved ones in this traffic even. And to those who lost their homes.

I don’t think the pilot is a hero. I think he is a coward. 2 little babies were killed. But his life is saved.
A real marine would have guided his plane away from populated areas, even if he had to crash land somewhere. This guy bails out and lets his jet slam into homes.
