Rachael Ray Throat Surgery May Correct Raspy Voice

Rachael Ray throat surgery may keep the energetic chef and talk show host from doing one of her favorite things and that is talking to people.

Not long ago, there were tons of questions popping up on sites like Yahoo Answers and Wikianswers asking whether or not Rachel Ray smokes cigarettes.  The reason these questions surfaced was due to her raspy sounding voice and the view from some people that is was getting deeper.

It turns out that the real reason for her raspiness may be a benign cyst in her throat that is going to be removed on December the 16th.  Rachael said that she was worried if she will be able to stay quiet during the holidays but she will apparently be doing a lot of note writing.

Rachael Ray is a fun person and we wish her the best with her upcoming throat surgery.

UPDATE:  Rachael decided not to go through with the December 16th throat surgery after going through some intensive vocal therapy that appears to be working.  Her doctor told her that the surgery may not be necessary.  See the full story on People.com.
