An Update-8 Year Old Boy Shoots and Kills Father and possibly Tim Romans as well.

Apache County Attorney, Criss Candelaria filed a simple one paragraph motion in juvenile court to drop the murder charge accusing the boy of killing his father. The request for the motion was simply stated that, “the state believes the interest of justice will be served by such a dismissal.”

The motion has only broadened the mystery surrounding the case, which began November 7Th, when the boy was charged with killing his father, Vincent Romero, 29, and Tim Romans, 39, who rented a room in Romero’s home.

The family of Tim Romans, are looking for blood, for the loss of their loved one. They have stated, “8 years old or not, he needs to be prosecuted…”

Police have said the boy confessed to shooting the men with a .22-caliber handgun and released a videotape of the boy’s interview with police. ***Watch the Video***

Initially, the 8 year boy denied involvement in the shootings. He said he found his Romans, lying on the ground when he arrived home from school and ran inside calling for his father. He then saw his father will blood all over his face and said, “I think I touched it,” the boy then stated, “and I didn’t hear anything, and I just saw blood, and I cried for about 30 minutes, just crying right next to him.”

Later the boy admitted that he shot his already wounded father “because he was suffering.” Then goes on to state, “After I shot him once, he was still moving. I think I shot him again.”

An 8 year old boy kills father, is not some thing we want to read about…but was it a murder suicide, murder or an accident that triggered murder? There are so many possibilities and only an 8 year old that is so far involved or left to tell us anything. Were is the childs Mother during all of this or grand parents? He seems so all alone…

Are the detectives doing their jobs? Could someone else been there and the child walked in on it and the police are all just clearing their case load? We may never know, but we will try to keep you abreast of breaking news.

The boy, who is only 8 years old, did not have an attorney or a guardian present during questioning. Nor, was he giving his rights. When you watch the tape you can hear the detectives leading the boy. Coaching him for an answer and using women to do that…low tactic.

Even if the motion to dismiss is granted, it would leave open the possibility that the charge could be refiled. So, it looks like we will have more on Update-8 year old boy shoots and kills Dad… The next question is, “Would stiffer gun laws have prevented this?”
