The now Ex-Senator Obama and New Presidential Elect said his good byes and a sincere “thank you” to those in Illinois, today.  Here is a brief synopses of his letter…

In news papers through out the state, his message started, “Today, I am ending one journey to begin another,” Obama’s letter said. “After serving the people of Illinois in the United States Senate, one of the highest honors and privileges of my life…”

Mr. Obama stated that his memories of the people of Illinois, “will stay with me when I go to the White House in January.”

Mr. Obama Illinois Senator, talked of people he had met during his tendure as Senator and then quoted Abraham Lincoln, who was “another son of Illinois, who left for Washington.”

Lincoln wrote, “To this place, and the kindness of these people, I owe everything.”

Mr. Obama wrote, “Today, I feel the same, and like Lincoln, I ask for your support, your prayers and for us to confidently hope that all will yet be well.”

His letter then concluded, “With your help, along with the service and sacrifice of Americans across the nation who are hungry for change and ready to bring it about, I have faith that all will in fact be well. And it is with that faith, and the high hopes I have for the enduring power of the American idea, that I offer the people of my beloved home a very affectionate thanks.”

Vice president elect Joe Biden, who was also reelected in Delaware to his Senate seat on November 4, will resign when he’s sworn in as vice president, in January.

Illinois will lose Senator Obama, but America will gain it’s 44th President in 64 days. Good Luck President elect Obama. I think The Ex-Senator of Illinois and 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, would approve of the first black, President of the United States of America.

Obama’s strength is his ability to connect with people In America & the world
in general , through the website Change.com. Now it seems international opinions
to the site has been cut off, for what ever reasons & that is worrisome. However
I Pray that GOD guide him , provided he moves according to GOD’S will., for the good of America & the world .

  2. Those are great thoughts, Phil

…thank you for sharing them and visiting BBAC. We hope to hear from you again soon.

Positive is all ways a good thing.

I suppose Bush , the republican conservatives & their supporters – on their invasion
of iraq , basically went on the assumption of the Biblical ‘ Wrath of GOD’ against Babylon. But what they misjudged was that the appointed ” period of wrath “had already passed by, before they attacked Iraq. The consequences of these misunderstandings are what America & the world is facing. It would be wise to try & understand the reasons for GOD’S wrath. Time(& tide) waits for nobody , & this is
    something that Obama should understand.

  4. Lots of good intentions and promises…However I do not envy Obama with his daunting task ahead. Lets be a judge on this in about twelve months, and see which way our country is going.l
