Smoking & Obesity Increses Mortality-Raises Your Health Risk
Smoking Combined With Obesity Raises Your Death Risk

We all know that smoking and being obese is not healthy for you, but now a new study shows: Those of you who smoke and are obese…well, the odds of dying early are highest among obese smokers. You do the math.
U.S. National Institute on Aging, found that those who smoking and obesity are independent predictors of mortality, but smoking and being obese especially decreases your mortality.
Smoking and obesity in the US, both carry a significant mortality risk, but smoking was associated with significantly lower mortality in every weight group. So, quitting the smoking habit, it will definitely improve your mortality risk, no matter in what weight group you are.
Losing weight will also lower mortality risk.
Losing weight and quitting smoking will increase your health and lower your mortality risk, according to the November issue of The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
The researchers found that as weight increased, so did the rate of death. Across all weights, people who smoke had the highest death rates. Obese smokers had a six to eight times greater risk of dying compared with people had normal weight and never smoked.
Another added factor of obesity in the US, was that people who had large waists, the risk of dying was five times greater than those who had the smallest waists and who never smoked. Still…it is thought, that if you must chose between losing weight and quit smoking…you should quit smoking.
If you quit smoking, it has the greatest effect on your mortality and even you you gain weight while you quite smoking, you still stand a better risk of survival.

Therefore, potentially modifiable behaviors can be an enormous range of mortality risk. Dietary patterns, tobacco use and physical activity are major determinants of the probable quality, and quantity, or our lives.
The large interactive effects of smoking and excess body fat, on the risk of death, are up to you. If you are overweight and smoke, fixing one can markedly improve your chances for a “normal life span.” Fixing both, and the “probability of benefit is huge.” The message is clear: Those who smoke and those who smoke and those who are obese all have the power to choose a better medical destiny.
