Voodoo Doll of Nicolas Sarkozy Puts A SPELL on French Courts

November 29, 2008

A French Appeals Court has ruled that Voodoo Doll of Nicolas Sarkozy may remain on sale, but must carry a notice saying that pricking them “harms the president’s dignity.”
Nicolas Sarkozy voodoo doll - Nicolas Sarkozy threatens to sue over voodoo doll

President Nicolas Sarkozy’s lawyer had asked that the VOODOO Dolls be withdrawn from sale, saying the president, like any French person, owns the right to his own image. But perhaps the President of France should have gotten a better Lawyer because the Appeals Court backed the earlier ruling allowing the dolls to stay on the market in “The Name of Freedom of Expression.”

There was a stipulation though…the courts ordered the doll’s marketer, publishing house K&B Editions, to add a warning that using the needles which come with the kits “constitutes an attack on the personal dignity of Mr Sarkozy”. Wellnow, I don’t know about you’all but that just made me want to buy the Voodoo Doll of Nicolas Sarkozy, even more…what a delight. Read more

Mumbai-Violence of The Unjust

November 29, 2008

I have been putting off writing this article as it has been weighing heavy on my mind and heart.

A fire broke out at the Taj Mahal hotel shortly before the gunfire there ceased.

How can one write about the Mumbai violence of the unjust when most people who were killed, had nothing to do anything but being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The victims were fathers wives, children, husbands, police, tycoons, spiritualists, Rabi’s, Germans, Australians, Americans, Indians, Canadians, Britons, and Asians, who were in Mumbai for different reasons. But they met the same fate in the indiscriminate path of gunfire and explosions in a string of terror attacks across the Financial Mecca of India, Mumbai.

(pic) An other fire brakes out at the Taj Mahal Hotel, shortly before the gunfire ceased-after over 60 hours of Mumbai-violence.

At least 160 people have been killed since attacks began Wednesday on several high traffic landmarks where foreign nationalists frequent. Their deaths have torn families and communities apart, and many more have yet to be confirmed. Some bodies might never be found.

Bullets and explosions of hate crimes have no nationality or names on them. To call this anything less then a terrorist attack on the innocent would be unfair to those who were killed.

By Friday night, the 160 that had been killed in the Mumbai-violence unjust attacks, including at least 15 foreign nationals. Those included five Americans, three Germans, an Italian, two Canadians, an Australian and one Chinese.

The official death toll does not include the attackers/terrorists who were killed by security forces. As of Friday, 9 attackers/terrorists had been killed. It is thought to have been 26 gunmen in all.

More than 327 people were wounded. Of these, the foreign nationalists , included seven British, three Americans and two Canandians and two Australians.

The Mumbai-violence of the unjust, was well orchestrated and it is believed that they were Pakistani dissidents who came into Mumbai aboard a ship. They attacked the railways, the airport, two prime hotels and a Jewish Center.

CNN News and Yahoo News, leaders in news, have more indept informationon the Mumbai-violence of the unjust…
