Daylight Savings Time Ends November 1 2008-Turn Your Clocks Back
Winding Back the Clocks-When is daylight savings going to end?
The first of November starts off with a bang as we turn back our clocks. Daylight savings time ends. That means we have an extra hour to do as we please. One thing, the IRS can’t take that away from us or the banks foreclose on us.
Then, November 4Th is Election day…DO NOT FORGET TO VOTE…Perhaps one of the most important elections for the United States in a century. A time to remember and definitely a time to VOTE!
Daylight Saving Time ends the longest time period in American history and will end Sunday, November 1, 2008. The practice is observed throughout the country except for Arizona, Hawaii, and the U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Marianas and parts of Indiana.
When is daylight savings going to start again? It will roll around in spring and once a gain we will lose an hour, of precious time and have to get up an hour earlier.
Ben Franklin started Day light savings to save energy. During his time as an American envoy to France, Benjamin Franklin, author of the proverb, “Early to bed, and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”, anonymously published a letter suggesting that Parisians economize on candles by rising earlier to use morning sunlight.
Modern Daylight Savings Time was first proposed in 1907 by the English builder William Willett.
Who noticed that people wasted half of the day, not getting up early. Thanks a lot William Willet…there are some of us out here that are night people…
However, I would not mind resetting the Rolex above…A Rolex is timeless, it never loses it’s value or time.
