Jerry Lewis Insults Aussies and Gays In One Sweep
Jerry Lewis comic, has become the master of goof-ups again. Last fall he used a anti-gay slur on that infamous Labor Day Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. Guess what…he did it again…during a press conference in Australia.
When a reporter from Network Ten national TV asked his opinion of the game cricket (the ultimate national sport of Australia), he responded:
“Oh, cricket? It’s a fag game. What are you, nuts?” Lewis replied.
Network 10 broadcasted the comment in its entirety, on its Friday evening news bulletin along with footage of Jerry handling an imaginary cricket bat with an effeminate gesture.
Jerry Lewis is in Australia performing in a retrospective show featuring highlights from his career in comedy, movies and television. According to his representative, he does not intend to comment.
Keep it up Jerry and you might not be doing the Telethon next year. Not only did you offend gays but the entire country of Australia. That’s a BIG Boo-Boo!
Jerry is 82 perhaps he has had a stroke or taken one too many slap-stick fall. What else would explain him openly offending so many people?
The only time I watched Jerry, was when it was Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis-Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, I could stomach.
