Joe the Plumber-There Really Is A Joe The Plumber

Joe the Plumber was referred to frequently by both presidential candidates Republican U.S. Sen. John McCain and Democrat U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, during Wednesday’s night third and last Presidential debate of 2008. I thought he was fictitious but as it seems, “Joe the Plumber,” does in fact exist.

The star of Wednesday night’s Presidential debate wasn’t either of the candidates. It was a plumber named Joe Wurzelbacher, From Holland, Ohio. Here he is, speaking to the media in front of his home with his dog.

So now, “Joe the Plumber” is now a house hold word or phrase…but at the expense of your everyday American Joe…the plumber…after being tossed around at the last debate America wants to know who he is…

Joe Wurzelbacher briefly made the news recently when Fox News ran a tape of him approaching Senator Barack Obama at a campaign rally in Toledo, Ohio. Joe explained to Obama that his tax policies would put him in a bind if he were to buy into his employer’s plumbing business, which would make an estimated $280 thousand/year.

Well, maybe Joe would have been happier staying anonymous and under the wire, so to speak…instead he is an example where our country is right now…It turns out Joe is like the rest of us, behind in his taxes, has a lien against his home for back taxes and doesn’t even have a license for his plumbing business.
