OJ Simpson Guilty of Armed Robbery
The Juice, OJ Simpson, was found guilty in Las Vegas yesterday on armed robbery, kidnapping, and several other charges, after he and a group of other men stormed a hotel room to retrieve some sports items that he said was stolen from him. One of the men was armed with a handgun during the confrontation.
It was 13 years ago that OJ was acquitted of murder in the case of his ex-wife and one of her friends.
The case mesmerized the American public as one of the greatest running backs in professional football history faced going to jail for the rest of his life. However, with the help of a great legal team, and some missteps by the police, he was found not guilty.
Some people are already saying that the guilty charges are a make up for Simpson going free years ago but those kinds of comments will never be proven as fact.
What is a fact is that OJ now faces up to life in prison. He was not granted bail and is scheduled to be sentenced on December 5th, 2008.
