Hello Chad,

Thank you for visiting BBAC and leaving your comment.

It is easy to tell that you have raised your children to know the pit falls of America Marketing...but is every child so lucky?

We are in an economic era where both parents need to work and a lot of children today are sitting in front of the TV and computer...Looking for heroes and guidance? Not all children are as fortunate as yours.

I know, I was impressed with Michael Phelps achievements and I see him a top athlete. However...

Most children don't think about healthy when they pick out their cereal. When I was a child...(back when dinosaurs roamed the earth...) most looked for the prize. Granted, todays' children are more savy when it come to better nutrition but don't think for a New York second, that all children are that way.

My main point is...that children today are facing an epidemic of over weight and obesity. Michael Phelps had the power to do something really positive for those children. He has the ability to pick and chose...he is the super athlete of the world right now. He could have been the role model of the century. The world is at his feet...

I say he chose the wrong path, the easy path, the path paved with gold. You're a good Father, so tell me, Chad, which path would or have you have taught your children to go down?

Your comments are always welcome and I hope to see and hear from you soon on BBAC

Southern smiles and singular rantings,
Sharon

This is stupid. Who cares what Phelps does. He is just making money. More power to him.

Also, my children understand how marketing and sponsorship works. They're not going to automatically think something is healthy just because Phelps is on the box.

The article title is misleading. This is just a single author's rant.
