The Dave Matthew Band Saxophonist-LeRoi Moore-Dies
Tuesday August 19Th 2008, Baby Boomer, Saxophonist, LeRoi Moore, 46, died.

LeRoi Moore was in an accident, June 30Th, involving a ATV, on his farm in Clarksville, VA. He was released and was to undergo therapy. He had already returned to his LA home to begin rehabilitation, but complications from his injuries arose and he was rushed to Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center on July 17Th, 2008.
The world has lost one of the most versatile saxophonists and multi talented musicians of today. Moore arranged many of the bands songs, which combined Cajun, fiddle playing, African influenced rhythms, and most importantly, jazz. Which all linked together with Dave Matthews’ unique voice and that is what made the band.
Many would say that it was Moore, who got the Dave Matthews’ Band together and was responsible for it’s popularity today. I am one of those people.
We have lost many talented people, as of late. Bernie Mac, Issac Hayes and now Leroi Moore. My Mother always said “that death comes in threes.” I hope this is the end of the trilogy.
For those of you who would like to see what the Band says about LeRoi Moore, here is their blog: http://www.dmband.com
And there also is an excellent article from Yahoo.
I leave you with a memory of LeRoi Moore as he is featured in “Don’t Drink The Water!”
I give you the late great LeRoi Moore…I need not go on about his talent, his music speaks for it’s self.
