Mike Phelps Breaks Own Record and Gets 9th Gold Metal

Michael Phelps only needs one more Gold Metal to break the most Gold Metals in Olympic history. What an athlete, and he is only 23. He has 5 more competitions or chances at becoming Olympic history, during the 2008 Olympics. I know he can do it.
Michael’s nine career gold medals are tying him with four other Olympic greats. Two of which are America’s own, swimmer Mark Spitz and track star Carl Lewis. Both who are well remembered to most Baby Boomers.
Micheal is quoted as saying, “I want to do things that no one else in the sport has ever done.” And it certainly looks as though he is. His career has barely started.
Michael won his third gold medal of his career on Tuesday morning, and tp top it all off he broke his own world record in the 200 meter freestyle. This third gold metal made it 9 gold metals for his illustrious career.
America and the World are cheering for this great American athlete to be “The Greatest Olympian Athlete in The World!”
