Shaft-Issac Hayes-Age 65-Has Died
Issac Hayes or as most Baby Boomers remember him, “Shaft,” was found by his family Sunday and was pronounced dead at Baptist East Hospital, in Memphis. He was 65. The cause of death is not immediately known.
Known for his baritone voice and bald head, Issac Hayes was at home in Disco, R & B and Soul music. His music was also known as urban contemporary, which paved the way for romantic crooners like Barry White. He is also known for one being of the first rap artists because of his spoken word introductions and interludes. As well, he became a movie star. We all knew him as “SHAFT.” No one else could have filled his role.
