Salmonella Alert Update-Tomatoes SAFE? You Tube…

The latest report that is in seems to ask the question, is it really the tomatoes?

…as it seems…the FDA just doesn’t know.
Fingers were pointed at the tomatoes, for the almost 900 illness reported since June of 2008.

Tomato growers have lost billions of dollars and they still do not have a clue as to what caused the outbreak. Words like “linked to, made with, processes with, water sources” are now words being linked to the salmonella tomato alert.

So the question is…will the FDA be responsible for the salmonella panic associated with tomatoes and the billions of dollars lost in revenue.

The public needed to be alerted, we all know that…BUT…should not farmers who have suffered the loss be given some cause for recourse.

This not only affects the farmers, but the pickers, the stores, the consumers and other products made with tomatoes. If this alert was unjustified…who should be made responsible? Who should bear that responsibility?

Keeping a watchful eye on our produce…
We did not stop eating tomatoes.
We supported the growers by buying and eating tomatoes.
We did not get ill.
