Here is a very easy Kitty Krackers Recipe!
I found this recipe on the web while looking for Baby Boomer blogs.
I made it and my dog went bonkers for it…granted she is a food mongrel…and she does love fish…but still, I think that she is a good judge of Animal Crackers…
So turn that oven on to 350 degrees and let’s get crack’n on those crackers!

Round up the ingredients…that way you never forget to put something in!
6 ounces of undrained tuna {give the juice to your pet…}
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup wheat flour…
IMPORTANT NOTE: I use whole wheat flour, as white flour is BLEACHED with …you guessed it BLEACH…POISON!!!
1/3 cup water
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Measure all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands.
Dusting your board with wheat flour, roll out to 1/4 inch thickness [size of a nickel]
Cut into treat sized pieces ( using a pizza cutter, makes it easy be creative make squiggly lines).
Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden. keep an eye on them after 15 minutes…
Let cool.
WALAAAAAAAAAA that is all there is to it…taste them…they are good!
And the BEST part is there are NO preservatives in it and you KNOW what is in your dogs or cats food/treats.
I do not give my dog regular store food any more. I make her food. Don’t get me going on that issue!
If your critters get tired of Tuna…do mackeral or salmon… try cheese or some other food flavor that they or you like…
Remember love your pets, don’t feed them that poison from the stores.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and answering my question…
Absolutely you are right many people are unaware that most commercial products are still ‘bad news’.
Unfortunately when the ‘China’ ordeal happened and toys, dog food etc, etc…were spiked and so on. People were given the impression that pet food was ’safe’ if not for that particular contamination…..most do not realize that the food was horribly ‘unsafe’ LONG before China came into play!!!
Most pet owners have ‘no idea’ what a ‘rendering’ plant is!!!
I do have lots of advice on ‘home made’ pet food recipes as well as reviews of the few that are decent. if you would like a guest blogger on the subject i am all yours!
I appreciate your recipes, they sound like good ones!!!
