R Kelly Found Not Guilty
R. Kelly, the infamous R & B singer, has been found not guilty today on charges surrounding a child pornography case that was believed to have taken place between 1998 and 2000.
Prosecutors had claimed that R. Kelly was a man identified by up to a dozen witnesses in a video having sex with an under aged girl. Prosecutors based part of their argument on a mole that appears on Kelly’s back and that is supposedly visible in the video.
However, defense attorneys were able to slow the video down frame by frame and show jurors that the mole did not appear in every frame. They claimed that the so called mole was nothing more than a black film speck and that R Kelly was not the man shown in the video.
Kelly had been facing up to 15 years in prison.
